Cutting, Transshipment and Transport
Client in the Sugar and Alcohol Sector – Logistics Control Centre for Cutting, Loading, and Transport of Sugarcane
The Control Centre was designed to remotely operate the cutting, transshipment, and transportation of sugarcane across three plants within the group, located in the states of Goiás and Minas Gerais, operating 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. The deadline was six months, prior to the start of the 18/19 harvest.
Before commencing the project, MOBY conducted a diagnosis of the current operational scenario, enabling the collection and analysis of sufficient data to prepare a highly consistent and financially viable Business Case. The return was millionaire!
Given the time constraints, multiple project aspects had to proceed simultaneously. These included civil work on yard’s infrastructure, technological enhancement of the plants infrastructure, construction of the control room capable of continuous 24-hour operation without interruptions due to energy or communication issues.
Over 10 systems were integrated to form the solution, facilitating online and real-time operations with the field and enabling visual management of core business performance indicators.
A recruitment process attracted over 1,000 candidates for the team to operate the Logistics Control Centre. MOBY’s expertise and successful partnership ensured the execution of all project stages, prioritizing quality while adhering to established deadlines and costs from the initial planning phase.
After six months, the Control Centre successfully executed its first CTT logistics operation, remotely controlled from the São Paulo capital headquarters. Initial opportunities and results swiftly emerged, with the company experiencing around a 30% increase in productivity within one month of the Control Centre operation.
